Mybrandcurve ("we", "us") runs the diagnostic and "Plan my launch" at mybrandcurve.com. This policy explains what information we collect when you use them, why, and what you can do about it. We have kept it short and specific to what this site actually does.
Who is responsible for your information
Mybrandcurve, Nigeria, is the data controller.
To ask a question or use any of your rights, contact us at [email protected].
What we collect, and when
When you take the diagnostic or plan your launch
Your answers stay in your browser while you work through the questions, and we do not know who you are. To see where the questions could be clearer, we count which page of them is reached, such as "the Content questions", with nothing about you or your answers.
When you ask for your full report or launch plan
- Your email address.
- Your business's name and the country it is mainly based in, and the city or state if you choose to give it. We use the name and the location to make your report personal to your business and its market. If you are planning a launch and have not chosen a name, you can leave it out.
- A phone or WhatsApp number, if you choose to give one. We use it to contact you about your report.
- For the diagnostic: your answers to the 20 statements or questions, whether you sell products or a service or build an audience, and who pays you, the social platforms you use, and your result, which is the four scores, the pillar to fix first and the plan we recommend.
- For "Plan my launch": whether you sell products or a service or build an audience, and who pays you; what you plan to sell, its field and your one-line description of it, whether you have chosen a name, your description of your customer or, if someone else pays you, of your audience and of who pays to reach them, the price range you set and its currency, the platforms you chose, where you are starting from, your budget for promotion and your goal, your answers to the twelve questions, and your result, which is the four scores of your capability map and your first challenge.
- Whether you ticked the box to receive marketing emails, and when.
- If you choose a paid plan: which plan, and when, kept with your report. You pay on a page run by Bachs, our payment provider. Bachs tells us whether the payment went through, the amount, the plan, the dates it covers, and its own reference numbers for you and your subscription. We never see or keep your card or bank details.
- The date and time.
When you sign in
Signing in is for clients on a paid plan.
- Your email address, and for each device you sign in from, a short description such as "Chrome on Mac", when you signed in and when you last used it. We use these to show you your signed-in devices and to tell you when a new one signs in.
- If you choose "Continue with Google", Google confirms your email address to us.
When you use your dashboard
We record which parts of your dashboard are used and when, such as opening a menu, adding a product, uploading photos or writing your brand voice, with your business and its plan. We use this to see which parts help most and to improve them. These records never hold what you type.
What you add to your brand kit
- Your products, services or what you offer, with their details and prices, and how people buy from you, book you or work with you.
- Your photos. We keep each at full quality for making your content, with a smaller copy for your dashboard, and leave out the hidden details a camera adds, such as where a photo was taken.
- Your brand voice: who you speak to, the caption and message you paste, and your answers to the guide.
- If you choose "Fill from your website" or upload a catalogue, we read that website or document to list what it holds, for you to check.
We use these to write your content and, on Growth and Scale, to make your videos and carousels.
If you choose to add more for your report or launch plan
All of these are optional. Your report is written without them, and is more specific with them.
- Your website's address. We read the public pages of that site, such as its products, prices and how a visitor orders, to write your report.
- The names or social media handles of businesses you compete with.
- Your own social media handles.
- Up to three screenshots of your profile or insights. They are read to write your report and are held only until it has been written, usually a few minutes, then deleted. They are not part of your saved report.
What we look up ourselves
To write your report we search the public web for businesses like yours in your area, including their public social media pages, and may name them in your report with where we found them. We use only what is publicly visible.
Automatically
- Cloudflare, which hosts this site, records technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, in order to deliver the site and keep it secure.
- When you send the form, a check provided by Cloudflare confirms that it comes from a person and not an automated program. It looks at signals from your browser to do this.
- The site's fonts and icons are loaded from Google Fonts and unpkg. Those services receive your IP address when your browser fetches them.
We do not ask for passwords, and we never see your card or bank details: payments are made on Bachs's page. We do not ask for access to your social media accounts on this site.
How your report is written
Your four scores, the pillar to fix first and the plan we recommend are worked out by fixed rules from your ratings, the same for everyone. For "Plan my launch", the same is true of your capability map and your challenges.
The written part of your diagnostic report or launch plan is produced by an artificial intelligence model, Claude, made by Anthropic. To write it, we send Anthropic your business's name, country and city or state, what you told us about your business or the business you plan to launch, your ratings or answers and your result, and any website address, competitors, handles and screenshots you chose to add. We do not send your email address or your phone number. The report is written automatically and is not read by a person before you receive it. It is marketing guidance for you to weigh; it makes no decision about you.
When we write your content or your brand voice, or a first draft of your brand kit, we also send Anthropic your brand kit's details and brand voice, and any website or catalogue you asked us to read. We do not send your photos for this.

Emails from us
If you ask for your report or plan, we email you a link to it. The link is private to you. Anyone you share it with can open the report, so share it only with people you want to see it. The report page does not show your email address or location.
If you are a client, we also email you about your account: when it opens, when a new device signs in, when a card payment fails, and when your next month is due.
We send you other messages about Mybrandcurve only if you tick the box agreeing to that. Every such message has an unsubscribe link, and you can also unsubscribe by emailing [email protected].
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for other people's marketing.
We use service providers who process information on our behalf and under our instructions:
- Cloudflare hosts the site and provides the check against automated sign-ups.
- Supabase stores the information you give us and signs you in.
- Bachs processes payments for our paid plans. It receives your email address and your business's name, takes your payment, and holds your card or bank details under its own terms.
- Google confirms your email address if you choose to sign in with Google.
- Resend delivers our emails and holds the list of people who agreed to marketing emails.
- Anthropic provides the artificial intelligence model that writes your report, and the web reading and searching it does. It processes what we send it, as set out under "How your report is written", in order to do that, and holds it only under its own terms for business customers.
- xAI provides the artificial intelligence model, Grok, that looks on X for what is being talked about in a client's field, for the content we prepare for them. It is sent only that field and the public X accounts chosen for it, never a name, contact details or answers, and holds it only under its own terms.
We do not use an advertising service. Cloudflare Web Analytics, part of Cloudflare's hosting, counts visits to the site without cookies and without identifying you. Our own records of how the site and the dashboard are used stay in our database.
We may disclose information if the law requires it.
Where it is stored
The information you give us is stored in a database in Ireland, in the European Union. Cloudflare, Resend, Anthropic and xAI also process information in other countries, including the United States. Where your information is stored or processed outside Nigeria, we make sure it is protected to the standard Nigerian law requires.
How long we keep it
- Your details, answers and report, including any phone number, website address, competitors and handles you gave: 24 months from your last contact with us, then deleted or made anonymous.
- Screenshots: deleted as soon as your report has been written, and within a day in any case.
- Payment records: as long as tax and accounting law requires.
- Your account and signed-in device records: while you are a client, then as for your other details.
- Your brand kit, its photos and your brand voice: while you are a client, then as for your other details.
- Records of how the site and dashboard are used: 13 months. Daily totals that name no one may be kept after.
- If you unsubscribe from marketing, we keep your email address on a suppression list so that we do not contact you again.
- Figures we make by combining many businesses' results, which identify no person or business, may be kept after your own details are deleted.
You can ask us to delete your information sooner.
Your rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct it;
- ask us to delete it;
- ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to our using it;
- receive it in a form you can take elsewhere;
- withdraw your consent at any time, which does not affect what we did before you withdrew it.
To use any of these, email [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with how we handle your request, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
Cookies
This site does not set advertising or tracking cookies. The check against automated sign-ups is provided by Cloudflare and may store a small amount of information in your browser to do its job. If you sign in, your browser keeps a small record that keeps you signed in on that device for up to 30 days.
Children
This site is for business owners. It is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
About the results
Scores come from your own ratings. They show where to look first and are not a guarantee of results.
Security
Information travels between your browser and this site over an encrypted connection. The database is closed to the public, and access to it is limited to the people who run Mybrandcurve. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach puts your information at risk, we will tell you and the Nigeria Data Protection Commission as the law requires.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will post the new version here with a new date. If the change is significant and we hold your email address, we will tell you by email.
